Lindiwe Ndaba

Millicent Lindiwe Ndaba is the author of the book “The Reciprocal Relationship of Culture and Leadership. She is the Board Chairperson of the Homestead Projects for Vulnerable Children. She is the Chief Digital Governance at the City of Cape Town Municipality. She is the Audit and Risk Committee for the Cape Town International Convention Centre and Cape Town Stadium. She has more than 15 years Board and Board Committee experience.
The organisations where she served either as a Board Member or Board Committee Member in the past include the City of Cape Town Municipality (Risk Committee Chairperson), PwC (Corporate Social Responsibility Committee member and Chairperson of Central Region Employment Equity Forum), Emmanuel TV Global in South Africa (Board Member and Director) and Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa, Central Region (Governor). University of Free State (University Council as the SRC member representing the students).
She has an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) from Quantic International University of Technology from Washington DC, USA, a Masters’ Degree in Arts, specialising in Leadership (Cum Laude) from IU International University of Applied Science in Germany, Post Graduate Diploma in Management Practises (Cum Laude) from University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Accounting Science Degree from the University of Free State. She is an IoDSA Certified Director, IIA Certified Internal Auditor, and The Ethics Institute Certified Ethics Officer.
She has more than 30 years’ experience in leadership roles (from school to date) and governance committees. She has done leadership training, workshops, coaching and mentorship for more than 20 years. She was part of the team that trained Internal Auditors at a National level in PwC.
Lindiwe has more than 25 years experience in governance and controls and more than 15 years’ experience at a senior managerial level. She was an Internal Audit Manager at PwC. She established the Internal Audit function at the Free State Department of Education. At the City of Cape Town, she led the team that made a significant contribution to the Institute of Directors (IoDSA) when they drafted the King IV Report. She also led the team that facilitated the historic launch of King IV principles as the foundation of a Resilient City in August 2017 and the successful adoption of King IV by Council on 5 December 2017. She drafted and facilitated the adoption of the Consequence Management Policy, Financial Misconduct Board Terms of Reference by Council. She drafted and facilitated the approval of the Consequence Management SOP, Register and Guidelines. She heads the Combined Assurance Team. She also headed the team that facilitated the Council adoption of the COSO Internal Control Model. She established the Combined Assurance Forum.
